Mimic Talent · Version dated 16 September 2026
Who processes your data
The person responsible for Mimic Talent is Francisco José Gámez Rodríguez, in España. For privacy inquiries and to exercise your rights: frangamezr2@gmail.com.
What happens when you play
- Same mobile: names, characters and imitations are used on that device. Recordings are not sent to the server for scoring. Your name, character, and preferences are saved locally until you change them or delete your profile.
- Game Center: We receive a player ID and proof signed by Apple to verify your identity. We create an internal UUID of Mimic Talent and save the name you choose and your character. We do not receive your password from Apple nor do we need your Apple ID's personal email.
- Online games: the server receives the data from the room and your imitations, calculates the similarity and allows the other participants to play them. They are temporarily kept in memory during the game; They are not incorporated into a public library or your permanent history.
- Results: We save the completed online games, date, mode, rounds, points, best imitation and victories linked to your account. Your history is only accessible from your account; The points of the game are shown to those who play with you.
- Voice in the room and between performances: It is transmitted live to the other participants while you wait and during breaks between performances, including when scores, transitions and the wheel are shown. Voice chat is automatically disabled while the reference sound plays, during the countdown, recording, waiting for takes and playback of each performance. We do not record or archive that conversation. You can mute your microphone and incoming chat audio separately, or leave at any time. Connections between devices may disclose network information, including IP addresses, to participants and connection services.
Subscription and purchases
On iPhone, Apple processes the Mimic Talent Premium monthly subscription, the one-time lifetime purchase, and non-consumable character and microphone purchases. Apple manages the payment method; Mimic Talent and RevenueCat do not receive your full card details.
We use RevenueCat to verify access. We link your internal Mimic Talent account UUID to purchase history, product identifiers, subscription or purchase dates and status, restorations, refunds and revocations, and necessary technical data such as platform, system version, store country or currency. The purposes are App Functionality and operational Analytics: enabling features, validating receipts, preventing fraud and understanding how subscriptions and purchases work. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Customization and reactions
We save the microphone, character and dance you choose. With Game Center, the selection is linked to your account to recover it when you return. The participants see the accessories and dances of those who play in their room. The audience's reactions are transmitted during the performance and disappear when the animation ends; we do not create a history of those gestures. Purchase rights allow you to restore purchased items with the corresponding Apple ID.
Permissions and control
We ask for microphone access to record imitations and, if you use voice chat, to talk in the waiting room and during breaks between performances. Voice chat is automatically disabled while the reference sound plays, during the countdown, recording, waiting for takes and playback of each performance. You can mute your microphone and incoming chat audio separately. The microphone is not activated when you open the profile, paywall or these pages, and you can withdraw permission in iPhone Settings. If you choose to share or save the podium, an image is generated with characters, names and scores; you choose its destination in the share sheet. We do not post anything to your social networks automatically.
Reports, blocks and support
A report from a room includes the accounts and names of the people involved, the room code, the date, the game if it exists, and the selected reason. Does not attach audio. Only administrators can review it. Blocks prevent you from matching rooms and you can remove them from Profile. If you write to support, we will receive your email address and the content you decide to send; do not include passwords, identification documents or other people's recordings.
Community Content
If you submit a sound, we retain your internal account identifier, title, category, original audio, clipping, optional image, dates, moderation status, and the text and version of the rights statement you agreed to. Your internal identifier is not displayed in the catalog. While it is under review it is not included in the catalog or shown to other players; Your file is only available to its author and administrators. After approval, the clipping, title, and image become available to people who choose to play with Community. The original remains private for management and possible incidents.
A report about a sound includes the sound, the reporter’s account and name, the contact email provided, the reason, optional details, the date, and the review decision. We use that email only to respond about that report. If a rights holder writes to us, we also process their name, company if provided, email, and explanation to verify, address, and document the notice. This data is used to protect third parties, comply with applicable obligations, and defend claims.
For what and on what basis
We use the data necessary to execute the contract and provide you with the game, account, subscription and purchases you request. Voice chat is optional and requires your decision to use the microphone. Fraud and abuse prevention, security, service operational metrics and complaint handling are based on our legitimate interest in protecting people and maintaining Mimic Talent. We respond to requests for legal rights and obligations when applicable. We do not condition the service to advertising or commercial uses of your voice.
Suppliers and transfers
Apple lends Game Center, distributes the app and processes payments. RevenueCat validates Apple purchases, maintains their status, and enables corresponding rights. Supabase manages authentication, database and catalog files; our database is hosted in Paris. Railway hosts the application and rooms. The voice connection uses STUN servers from Cloudflare to discover network connections.
These providers receive the necessary technical data, such as IP, device or browser type, requests, error codes and response times. We do not use the IP to locate you or to create advertising profiles. Providers use infrastructure and subprocessors that may be outside the European Economic Area. For suppliers acting on our behalf, their processing agreements and the transfer guarantees provided for in them apply, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. You can consult the processing terms of Supabase, those of Railway, the privacy of RevenueCat and privacy of Apple, or request information from the person responsible.
How long they are kept
The profile and online results are kept as long as your account exists. Blocks last until you remove them or one of the accounts is deleted. Reports between players are retained for 90 days and are deleted at the next daily cleanup, or sooner by deleting the account of one of the people involved. Suspension measures remain in place until they are reviewed or the account is deleted.
The content you publish in Community is retained as long as it is published. If you remove it, it is no longer chosen in new games; We keep the consent and moderation record as long as necessary to manage incidents or complaints. Deleting your account deletes your community files and their associated records. Owner notices are kept for the time necessary to resolve and prove their management, subject to the applicable legal deadlines.
The audios of an online game are discarded from memory when the round advances or the room closes. We do not keep files of those voices in the database or on permanent storage. Technical security data is kept during the operational periods of the providers. Support emails are reviewed and deleted when they are no longer necessary to resolve the query, up to twelve months after closure, except for a specific legal obligation.
RevenueCat and Apple retain purchase records for the time necessary to validate rights, process refunds, prevent fraud, and comply with their own legal obligations. When you delete your account, we queue the request to delete the customer profile that we manage at RevenueCat. If RevenueCat does not respond, we temporarily retain only the internal UUID required for retry, without name, email, receipts, transactions or payment data, and delete it from the queue when RevenueCat accepts the request. RevenueCat may retain legally required information and Apple may retain your transaction history under its own terms.
Delete your account and exercise your rights
Go to Profile → Delete my account and confirm. We will immediately remove your profile, results, your files and community posts, associated blocking and reporting relationships, accessory selection, and login link to Game Center from Mimic Talent. We will also asynchronously request the deletion of the client profile that we manage in RevenueCat; A delay from that provider does not delay the deletion of your account on Mimic Talent. Your Apple account or the profile that Apple manages in Game Center is not deleted.
Deleting Mimic Talent does not cancel an Apple subscription. If it is active, Apple will continue to bill you for it until you cancel it. Before deleting we will show you access to subscription management; You can also use Apple Subscriptions. You can delete the account immediately even if you decide not to cancel. To regain a Mimic Talent account you will have to choose to connect again and you will be able to restore purchases linked to the corresponding Apple ID.
You can request access, rectification, deletion, limitation, opposition and, where applicable, portability by writing to frangamezr2@gmail.com. We will verify your identity in a reasonable way, without asking for your password. We will respond to the request within the legal period, normally one month. You can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency or the authority of your place of residence.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't use personalized advertising or advertising tracking identifiers, and we don't train AI models with your recordings. Similarity is calculated using sound characteristics such as rhythm, duration, and pitch. We do not use your voice to biometrically identify you or to make decisions that have legal effects on you.
Minors and changes
Respect the age classification of the app. If you are not of legal age to consent to optional treatment or make a purchase in your country, your parent or guardian must intervene and Apple's purchase controls also apply. If we detect an account created in violation of these requirements, we will respond to the representative's request and delete the data as appropriate. This app is not part of the App Store children's category.
We will update this policy when the functions, providers or treatments change significantly and we will communicate changes that affect your rights.
